The research and development team of Amnesh Company is proud to announce the release of the 20.01 (Primrose) version of Soodaros. This version of Soodar OS has undergone many changes to the core of its operating system and its update system.

Change in operating system

The new Soodars have made a big leap forward using the Yocto platform. Yocto is a platform for building embedded Linux distributions. Improved items include the following:

  • More operating system security
  • Specialization of all system parts Rootf read-only partition
  • Reduce the time to get up and get the device ready to use
  • Reduce the volume of updates

New update system

Using Mender as the update tool, it is now easier than ever to update your device Soodars! Among the capabilities of this system are the following:

  • A / B update system
  • Ability to detect problems and fallback to the previous version
  • Ability to automatically update from the server
  • Having a web-based user interface on the server side to put the update and specify the desired devices
  • Dedicated server for updates
  • Ability to update offline and via USB

All of the above are accessible and configurable from the Soodarُ integrated CLI.

Collection of management tools

For the first time, a set of management and monitoring tools will be delivered with the system with this version of Soodaros.

  • Update system UI
  • Syslog data collector
  • IPFIX data collector
  • SNMP data collector

Also in this version, the device settings can be backed up and reset in three ways: remote via ssh, remote via USB storage and local.
